The first court hearing date has yet to be set.

[TV Daily Reporter Kim Ji-hyun] ADOR has initiated a lawsuit against NewJeans' member Daniel, seeking approximately 43.1 billion won. This case has been assigned to the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 31, which is also reviewing the option dispute involving former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.

On the 30th, ADOR announced that they would pursue legal action against Daniel, his family, and former CEO Min Hee-jin, claiming that they bear significant responsibility for the recent conflict and delays in NewJeans' activities. The first court hearing date has not yet been set.

In November of the previous year, NewJeans held an emergency press conference to announce their withdrawal from the contract and to pursue independent activities. ADOR has since taken legal steps to enforce the contract, successfully having the court rule in their favor.

The lawsuit between ADOR and Daniel sheds light on unique challenges within the K-pop industry. Although conflicts between agencies and artists that escalate to legal battles are not uncommon, the substantial amount at stake in this case garners significant attention. Fans and industry insiders are keenly observing developments, with growing concerns that legal troubles may affect both the artist's image and the overall group dynamics.

The role of former CEO Min Hee-jin cannot be overlooked in this situation. As various reputations and business models within K-pop intertwine, speculation arises regarding how her independent activities relate to this lawsuit and how they might alter relationships between agencies and artists. There are increasing calls for establishing systems that protect artist rights while facilitating smoother conflict resolution.

Finally, how Daniel and the other NewJeans members navigate their future amidst this controversy will be crucial. Given the necessity for collaboration among artists for the group's success, it becomes essential to monitor how these conflicts will be resolved.
