IVE is set to expand their popularity in Japan ahead of their Tokyo Dome concert.
[TV Daily Kim Jin-seok Reporter] IVE is stepping up its global activities with the release of its new Japanese mini-album, 'LUCID DREAM.' According to its agency, Starship Entertainment, the album was released on various online music platforms at midnight on the 27th.
This album features the title track 'LUCID DREAM' along with three new original Japanese tracks, including the pre-release songs 'Fashion' and 'JIGSAW.' In addition, Japanese versions of the double title tracks 'REBEL HEART' and 'ATTITUDE' from last year's domestic mini-album 'IVE EMPATHY,' as well as the song 'Thank U,' are included, bringing the total to six tracks.
The title track 'LUCID DREAM' approaches the concept of dreams not as an escape from reality, but as a means to confront oneself and be honest with emotions. It showcases IVE's signature hopeful energy fused with an uplifting melody, offering a fresh and diverse charm. The music video employs 'butterflies' as a metaphor for dreams, telling the story of the members seeking happiness in a deep dreamscape in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
Previously, IVE achieved significant success in Japan with their third album 'Be Alright,' which topped the Billboard Japan 'Top Album Sales,' and 'After LIKE' surpassed 200 million streams. They have also solidified their presence in the local market by appearing on popular TV programs like 'ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025,' NHK's 'Venue 101,' and TBS's special show.
Currently on their second world tour 'SHOW WHAT I AM,' IVE successfully completed their performance in Osaka at the Kyocera Dome and is set to reignite excitement in Japan with their upcoming return to the Tokyo Dome in June.
Through this album, IVE is solidifying its presence in the Japanese market while continually showcasing musical diversity. The title 'LUCID DREAM' explores the journey of discovering emotional truth through dreams, likely resonating deeply with young fans.
Notably, the theme of dreams reflects the psychological conflicts prevalent in modern society. By addressing this through music, IVE is creating a space for communication, strengthening the connection between the artist and fans.
Moreover, their continuous appearances on popular Japanese programs further highlight IVE's charm and deepen their interaction with local fans. These activities not only expand their fan base but also establish a foundation for stronger connections in the global market.
