BLACKPINK's Jennie Secures 238 Billion Won Settlement through Solo Agency
Jennie has received a settlement of 238 billion won through her solo agency OA Entertainment.
This total comes from combined payments in 2024 and last year.
She is enjoying newfound creative freedom while continuing her active solo career.

[TV Daily Reporter Choi Hana] BLACKPINK's Jennie has reportedly earned a remarkable settlement of 238 billion won in the last two years since her solo venture.

According to Korea's Financial Supervisory Service electronic disclosure system, Jennie's company OA Entertainment paid her approximately 9.5 billion won in settlement last year. Combined with the 14.3 billion won received in 2024, her total earnings reach around 238 billion won.

Jennie established OA Entertainment in November 2023, marking the beginning of her independent career. The name 'OA' stands for 'ODD ATELIER,' symbolizing a unique creative space. The company has shown consistent growth since its inception, with revenues rising from 18.9 billion won in 2024 to 23.8 billion won the following year. However, operating profit has slightly decreased.

Jennie's transition to solo activity has allowed her to showcase her creativity and musical diversity that she may not have fully realized under YG Entertainment. This shift signifies a new chapter in her career.

By establishing her own company, Jennie now has more control over her artistic vision, potentially offering fans fresh content and experiences. Her success with OA Entertainment underscores a shift in the K-POP industry towards greater autonomy for artists in managing their careers.

This move may reshape the perception of agency dynamics, allowing artists to pursue their creative paths while receiving fair compensation, paving the way for a more artist-centric management approach in the future.
