K-Pop Four Companies Unite for Jinyoung Park's Global Festival Vision
Jinyoung Park's 'Fanomenon' project is being promoted through collaboration with three major agencies.
The festival will start in South Korea in 2027 and will expand to major cities worldwide in 2028.
This project aims to elevate K-pop fandom into a global cultural asset.

The 'Fanomenon' project led by Jinyoung Park of JYP Entertainment is making strides towards realization. As of April 16, reports indicate that major domestic entertainment companies, including JYP, HYBE, SM Entertainment, and YG Entertainment, are in discussions to establish a joint venture. This venture is expected to serve as a platform to execute Park's vision for a global K-culture festival. Previously, during the launch of the Culture Exchange Committee in October 2025, Park unveiled the concept of 'Fanomenon,' promising to create a global music festival that surpasses Coachella. He plans to kick off the festival in South Korea in 2027 and expand to major cities worldwide starting in 2028. This initiative aims to elevate K-pop fandom into a global cultural asset beyond mere performances. JYP emphasized that they are in the initial review stage and that detailed plans will be finalized in response to market conditions.

As the K-Pop industry shifts towards a cooperative model, Jinyoung Park's proposal for the 'Fanomenon' project stands out as a potential global music festival. The K-Pop sector has transitioned from a competitive framework led by individual agencies to seeking collaborative opportunities, with Park leveraging his experiences in the U.S. market to promote the global expansion of K-culture. This ambition goes beyond mere performances, aspiring to establish fandom as a global cultural asset. If Park's vision comes to fruition, it could have a positive influence on K-Pop and Korean culture as a whole.
