He is set to gain new experiences through his military service.
Fans and agency are supportive of his decision.
[TV Daily reporter Kim Jin-seok] Singer Jung Dong-won has showcased his recent military service status after enlisting in the Marine Corps. On April 2, the 'Defense PR Agency KFN' released a video titled 'Marine Corps 1327th Gradution Ceremony' on their social media and YouTube channel, featuring Jung Dong-won among others. In the video, he stands tall while singing the national anthem and the Marine Corps song. Jung entered the Marine Corps training center on February 23 and, after completing his basic military training, will continue his 18-month active duty. Choosing to fulfill his military obligations instead of going to college right after turning 20, he has gained respect from fans and his agency. He previously sought advice from former Marine, Oh Jong-hyuk, and expressed his desire to join the Marine Corps reconnaissance unit, stating, 'As a man, I want to serve in a remarkable way.'
Jung Dong-won's enlistment marks a significant turning point in his artistic journey. Just as in the music industry, military service will offer him new experiences and personal growth. His decision is respected by fans and his agency, reflecting the strong determination he has harbored for a long time.
