[TV Daily Reporter Hwang Seoyeon] On March 20, BTS launched a unique pop-up space, 'BTS POP-UP: ARIRANG', in Yongsan, Seoul, coinciding with the release of their new album 'Arirang'. This exhibition-style pop-up aims to visually communicate the album's concepts and messages, captivating visitors with a 1.9-meter high volcanic rock sculpture and a floor design featuring the Big Dipper. The highlight of the exhibition was undoubtedly the stunning visuals of the seven members showcased in large photographs.

Visitors were drawn to interactive experience zones that became a must-visit part of the event. In the 'ARIRANG MEARI' zone, they could roll balls representing five forms of love, while the 'What is Your Love Song?' zone allowed them to create unique graphics combining song titles and their nicknames. Additionally, collaboration products with the National Museum of Korea featured modern interpretations of traditional designs, further enticing global tourists.

Released at 1 PM on March 20, the album 'Arirang' captures universal emotions and is produced by Bang Si-hyuk, with the title track 'SWIM' encouraging listeners to persist in the face of life's challenges. BTS is set to roll out 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL' project until April 19, transforming the city into a vibrant festival space.

This pop-up stands as a significant opportunity for BTS to showcase their musical and artistic vision in a multidimensional way. The exhibition-style space functions not merely as a point of sale but as a medium conveying their philosophy and emotions. Fans are afforded a deeper understanding of BTS’s musical worldview through this experience, likely enhancing their loyalty to the group.

The 'Arirang' album encapsulates BTS’s modern reinterpretation of traditional K-pop, thereby heightening their competitiveness in the global market. The title track 'SWIM' embodies a message of resilience in a rapidly changing world, resonating not only with loyal fans but also the general public. Such musical choices reflecting contemporary sentiments are expected to be key to BTS's sustained popularity.

The 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL' project represents not just an extension of concerts, but a cultural festival where modernity and tradition intertwine. Through this initiative, BTS is amplifying their bond with fans beyond music and exploring various media and formats, contributing to the global proliferation of K-culture.
