[TV Daily's Kim Hangil] Big Machine Label Group, a subsidiary of HYBE America, has rebranded itself as 'Blue Highway Records' and appointed Jake Basden, a seasoned expert in music and marketing, as the new CEO. This announcement was made on February 17, local time in the United States.

Blue Highway Records will retain all existing BMLG assets, distribution agreements, and its roster of artists, including top talents such as Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, Justin Moore, and Carly Pearce, and will handle the distribution for Riley Green and The Band Perry through Nashville Harbor Records. Furthermore, Valory Music will merge into Blue Highway Records under HYBE America's support.

CEO Jake Basden has extensive experience across the music, film, TV, and live entertainment industries, having recently wrapped his tenure as president of Sandbox Management. His prior role at BMLG as Senior VP had him closely collaborating with superstar artists such as Taylor Swift. Isaac Lee, the chairman and CEO of HYBE America, expressed hope that Basden's leadership will drive Blue Highway Records to new heights of success.

The rebranding of Blue Highway Records signifies a strategic move for HYBE America within the North American market. Jake Basden is seen as the ideal candidate to expand Blue Highway Records' vision globally, given his successful track record collaborating with artists. His approach to leading in an evolving contemporary North American music scene suggests he could exceed expectations.

Basden's appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the country music landscape is rapidly changing. His prior experience in developing various artists' careers leads to strong anticipation for new projects that will foster continuous engagement with audiences. The collaborative network among artists under his leadership will also be a critical component moving forward.

Through this rebranding, Blue Highway Records is expected to further strengthen its artist-centric philosophy. Efforts to deepen connections with fans are anticipated to yield positive outcomes for the success of bolstering current artists and bringing in new talent, which will set a promising direction for the music industry as a whole.
