Expectations are rising ahead of the release of their fifth full album 'ARIRANG' on March 20.

[TV Daily Reporter Hwang Seoyeon] BTS has recently obtained additional streaming certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. According to the announcement on the 30th, the title track 'Yet To Come' from their anthology album 'Proof' and the song 'Love Maze' from their third studio album 'LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear'' have achieved a cumulative playback of 100 million and 50 million respectively as of December last year, earning them 'Platinum' and 'Gold' certifications in the streaming category. The Recording Industry Association of Japan grants certifications monthly based on cumulative streaming counts, and BTS holds a remarkable total of 16 'Platinum' and 48 'Gold' certifications. Notably, they were the first in K-pop history to receive 'Diamond' certifications for 'Dynamite' and 'Butter'. 'Yet To Come' reflects on BTS's musical journey while promising a brighter future, whereas 'Love Maze' conveys messages of hope to their fans. The rise in streaming numbers for both songs appears to reflect the anticipation of their upcoming complete comeback. BTS is set to release their fifth full album 'ARIRANG' on March 20 at 1 PM, heightening expectations. The new album will include a total of 14 tracks, exploring themes of identity and universal emotions such as love and longing. Meanwhile, BTS will kick off a large-scale world tour with 82 performances across 34 cities, starting at the Goyang Sports Complex on April 9. These concerts have sold out rapidly and are expected to significantly impact the concert industry as BTS performs solo concerts in major stadiums across the U.S. and Europe.

BTS's recent acquisition of streaming certifications in Japan reaffirms their significant status in the Asian music industry. With the increasing popularity of streaming platforms, this mode of music consumption has become central to the current music landscape, and BTS is particularly adept at adapting to these changes. They are engaging with their global fanbase through various media beyond streaming, demonstrating that this multifaceted approach is proving to be effective.

In particular, the tracks 'Yet To Come' and 'Love Maze' vividly illustrate BTS's musical identity and messaging. 'Yet To Come' reflects on their musical journey while carrying a hopeful message for the future, and 'Love Maze' offers a warm expression of love towards their fans, evoking deep emotional resonance. Both tracks encapsulate the emotional depth that has become a hallmark of BTS's hits.

Lastly, the upcoming release of their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' and the large-scale world tour represent a strategic effort to deepen their relationships with fans. This continuous endeavor is likely to contribute to solidifying K-pop's position in the global market.
