Reports have surfaced regarding the possibility of a reunion for the project group X1. Following the early disbandment triggered by the voting manipulation scandal of the 'Produce' series, it was revealed that former Mnet PD Ahn Joon-young recently proposed participation in a reality program to some members of X1. However, this suggestion did not lead to any concrete plans.

X1 debuted in August 2019 but disbanded only five months later due to the revelation of the voting manipulation issue. Members like Kim Yo-han and Kim Woo-seok have since returned to their respective agencies and continue their careers. A representative from one member's agency stated that while there had been attempts at a reunion, they ultimately fell through, with another agency denying any knowledge of such discussions.

Ahn Joon-young was sentenced to two years in prison due to the voting manipulation scandal and was released in November 2021. He is no longer associated with Mnet.

The speculation surrounding a reunion for X1 has certainly garnered attention from fans. However, the differences in opinions among the members' agencies seem to pose significant challenges. The lingering resentment regarding past events will likely weigh heavily on whether the group can successfully reunite, affecting both fans and the members themselves.

Fans naturally hold a strong attachment to the music and activities of X1. Yet, for the members who have pursued their own paths, a compelling reason to come together again is essential. Balancing the fans' expectations with the stance of the agencies will be crucial to any potential reunion.

Ahn Joon-young's proposal is another important factor. Depending on the nature of the program he suggested and the response it receives, the discussion around X1's reunion could emerge again in the future.
